Monday Reads

I came home last Wednesday to visit my parents.  They live 75 miles from me, which isn't far, but I always stay for at least a couple days.  I haven't gotten much reading done, even though that was my plan.  Instead, I've been binge watching reruns of The Brady Bunch and Project Runway on Hulu.  :D

I did finally finish Heaven by V.C. Andrews, will finish the Hobbit, and am currently reading (and plan to finish) one of my picks for Non-Fiction November, which is pictured below: Found in Translation by Nataly Kelly and Jost Zetzsche... One of my two cats, Azalea, joined me.  The other one, Melodie, was nearby wandering around.

**Old post again.  Yay!  The update I added at the bottom made me laugh.   It's snowing here.  I love the look of fresh snow, but hate cold weather.   Anyway, I did not finish my Goodreads challenge.  I was getting burned out trying to get that 48th book in, so I stopped worrying about it.  If I had, it would've been A Rogue's Life  by Wilkie Collins - that ended up being my first finished book of 2019.  I have no problem with carrying over books.  It happens.  T his year I plan on reading at least 60 books. Today, I've been listening to the audiobook version of I Am Malala .  I originally added that to my Goodreads in 2013, and am glad to finally be reading it.  It's also my first audiobook.  I started it last night and am already halfway through, which as a slow reader, is saying something.  I'm liking it a lot and even concluded I love audiobooks, because I was super engaged in it, which I...

I put up a new video (finally - so relieved!)  I started my channel in November of 2017 and have only uploaded a small handful of videos since then, but plan on being much less sporadic about it now that I've moved back home.  I was pretty self-conscious about recording in my apartment, which I know is silly. I'm using a video recorder I added to my Chromebook - it's not the best quality, but it's not terrible either.  Maybe I'm odd, but I kind of prefer not to be too crystal clear and vivid.  Anyway, so far I've read a little on Peter and Wendy today.  Got a bunch of reading to do...
